FAISALABAD, March 1: Tehsil municipal administration (city) has expressed its concern over the reckless driving of the Metro buses drivers resulting in many deaths , and decided to prepare a plan for controlling road accidents in the city.

During a session held here with Convener Muhammad Ilyas Ansari in the chair on Monday, a resolution said the recklessly driven Metro buses were causing fatal road accidents on inter-city roads.

The House was further informed that despite lodging of complaints, the traffic police high-ups had taken no action in this regard. After conducting debate on the issue, the House decided to prepare a plan to enforce traffic rules more strictly to to save precious lives.

Through another agenda item, the House approved four development schemes involving about Rs6 million to be started under the Citizens Community Boards in different parts of the city. After completing other necessary agenda items, the convener adjourned the House for an indefinite period.
