DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Feb 28: Police have failed to arrest any of the three men accused of assaulting a girl some three weeks ago.

The girl and her sister were passing through a street in their Wanda Balukhel village on Feb 5 when the accused caught them and took them to nearby fields. While one sister managed to escape the other was criminally assaulted.

Sources said the accused later paraded the girl naked on the village streets before she was allowed to go home on the intervention of elders. On an application by the girl, the Kiri Khaisor police registered a case under sections 506/34 and 7 of the Zina Ordinance against Shafiullah, son of Sher Mohammad, Ghulam Yasin, son of Sona Khan, and Fazal Rehman, son of Suleman, all residents of the same village.
