KARACHI, Feb 27: Pace duo of Yasir Ali and Riaz Afridi shared six wickets between them as Allied Bank crashed to 250 for seven in their first innings against PTCL on the opening day of the Patron's Trophy tie at the National Stadium on Sunday.

Riaz claimed three for 60 in 28 overs and Yasir three for 94 in 24 overs after PTCL captain Aamir Bashir won the toss and decided to field first. The bankers failed to take advantage of a fine 75-run opening stand between skipper Wajahatullah Wasti and Usman Tariq. Both were taken behind the stumps by Zulqarnain Haider after scoring 39 each.

At lunch, Allied Bank were 62 without loss in 26 overs before going off for tea at 146 for three in 54 overs. The other main contributors with the bat were Khalid Latif (37), Bilal Asad (40) and Aamir Hanif (47).
