KARACHI, Feb 27: The deputy convener of the MQM Coordination Committee, Farooq Sattar, Minister of State Dr Amir Liaquat Hussain and MNA Nisar Panhwar on Sunday visited Chaman, Dobandi and Gulistrar - rain and flood hit areas of Balochistan.

They expressed deep sympathies with the affected families and distributed Rs2.2 million among them. A press release issued here said the Muttahida Qaumi Movement give away Rs20,000 to the heirs of each deceased, Rs10,000 to each injured and Rs5,000 to those whose houses had collapsed during the floods. The people thanked the MQM for providing help.

The MQM team also proceeded to Tob Achakzai of Qila Abdullah; however, the team was told that there was still seven feet snow on the roads and there was no way to proceed further. - PPI
