KARACHI, Feb 25: The massive post-Hajj operation of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) involving airlift of 131,000 Pakistani Hujjaj on board 456 special Hajj flights and 11,000 Hujjaj on normal schedule flights from Saudi Arabia has completed.

The airlines operated special post-Hajj flights from Jeddah to Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad and Sukkur from Jan 25 to bring back Pakistani Hujjaj from the Holy land.

The post-Hajj operation involved 122 special flights for Karachi, 67 for Islamabad, 75 for Lahore, 72 for Peshawar, 36 for Quetta, 49 for Multan, 29 for Faisalabad and 06 flights for Sukkur.

The huge operation was undertaken smoothly with all facilities provided for the convenience and comfort of the Hujjaj. PIA also provided Ahram and Abayas to male and female Hujjaj, as well as umbrellas as give away items before their departure for the Holy land. - APP
