England's Grant top seed

ISLAMABAD, Feb 24: Adrian Grant will be the top seed in the $25,000 Chief of the Army Staff (CAS) International Squash Championship the main round of which starts on March 1.

Shahid Zaman, Majid Khan, Shamsul Islam Khan, Arshad Iqbal Burki, Mansoor Zaman, Saeed Hassan and Yasir Butt are the home players in the main round of the championship.

In a main draw of 16, four players will come through qualifying round due to be held on Feb 27 and 28. The pre-qualifiers begin on Friday. Besides Adrian, the other foreign players in the main round are M. Essam A. Hafiz (Egypt), Alex Stait and Joey Barrington (England) and Mohd Azlan Iskandar (Malaysia).

The players competing in the qualifying round are: Farrukh Zaman, Farhan Mahboob, Ritwik Bhattacharya (India), Khayal Muhammad, Mark Krajcsak (Hungary), Safeerullah Khan, Khalid Atlas Khan, Khawaj Adil Maqbool, Amr Ramzy Swelim (Egypt), Aamir Atlas Khan, Amjad Khan and Mohamed Ismail (Egpyt).
