LAHORE, May 29: The Housing Department expects to raise Rs30 million in the next three months by auctioning its stores and equipment in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Bahawalpur, Lt-Gen Muhammad Tariq (retired), the minister incharge, said on Wednesday.

He was presiding over the monthly departmental meeting.

The minister said district auction committees comprising the executive engineers concerned and representatives of the Army Monitoring Teams and district governments had been constituted for the disposal of the stores and equipment.

He said the store space becoming available following the disposal of the machinbery and equipment would be utilized for the construction of department’s offices and housing colonies for its employees.
