KARACHI, Feb 21: The on-going gang-war between two outlawed groups in Lyari claimed two lives on Monday.

Lyari Town Police Officer Malick Mazhar told Dawn that Alam Khan, 40, was opening his fodder shop near Juna market when armed suspect pulled up and opened fire killing him on the spot. Police shifted the body to the Civil Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police said that Alam was relative of Ghaffar Zikri a close associate of Arshad Pappu. The TPO said that Baba Ladla, one of Rehman's front man was behind Alam's killing.

In what police described as a retaliatory killing Arbab Dur Mohammad who was the brother of Rehman Dakait's father-in-law was gunned down in Saeedabad on Monday evening.

TPO Malick Mazhar said that Dur Mohammad was having tea near his shop in Yousuf Goth when two unknown motorcyclists pulled up and shot him at point blank range. Police said that he was rushed to the nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
