KARACHI: Convocation of KU on March 5

KARACHI, Feb 19: The convocation for graduates of different academic programmes in the morning and evening shifts of the University of Karachi will be held on March 5.

This was announced by the varsity registrar, Prof Syed Sikandar Mehdi. The Sindh governor, Dr Ishratul Ibad, who is also the chancellor of public sector varsities, will preside over the convocation.

A source on the campus said that the chairman of the Higher Education Commission, Dr Atta-Ur-Rehman, would also be awarded an honorary degree of DSc at the convocation.

Meanwhile, the registrar has announced that candidates who had not applied so far for attending the convocation should submit their forms at the camp office set up at the Silver Jubilee gate of the varsity, latest by Feb 22.

MA exams: The University of Karachi has announced that MA (final) supplementary examinations 2003 for external candidates would be held in March. The exam forms can be submitted with late fees of Rs1,600 and Rs1,800 till Feb 21 and March 1 respectively.
