KARACHI: Plantation campaign launched

KARACHI, Feb 14: The city government on Monday kicked off the spring tree plantation campaign during which 100,000 sapling will be planted, according to DO (Parks) Masood Alam.

The new saplings would help turn the city greener, he said while making an appeal to all students and managements of their schools, as well as general public, to make the campaign a success. The city government has also set up a help line with telephone numbers 134 and 9230060-62 and fax number 9230068 in this regard.

Though the help line 134, the city government is providing assistance and guidance in matters related to rain and officers of different civic departments are made available on the line round-the-clock. They listen to people's complaints and take prompt measures to provide relief to people in trouble, according to a city government release. -PPI
