SWABI, Feb 4: Four people were killed and two others seriously injured in four separate incidents here on Friday.

Ibrahim Khan, 20, employed at the Zahir Book shop developed differences with the owner of the shop. Muhammad Farooq, the owner, and his accomplice Totali allegedly opened fire on Mr Khan, killing him on the spot.

Police have registered an FIR against Farooq and his brother Muhammad Arfan. In another incident, Zahir Said was killed and Musharraf Khan was seriously injured when a truck and a van collided near the Malikabad Bus Stop on the Swabi-Mardan road.

Mumtaz Khan, a resident of Tordher, was shot dead by some unidentified men and his body was thrown in fields near River Indus. His sister said they had no enmity with anyone. Police have registered a case.

In another case, Zahir Khan said he was on his way to their shop along with his brother Zubir Ahmad when Naveed Khan and Fakhar Zaman fired on them, killing his brother on the spot. The cause of the incident was stated to be a rivalry over a woman.
