KARACHI, Jan 15: The Pakistan People's Party has demanded of the government to reverse the decision of fragmenting Larkana, Jacobabad, Dadu and Mirpurkhas districts, calling it a conspiracy to undermine the party's vote bank.

This has been spelt out in one of the resolutions adopted in the party's Sindh Council meeting, which was chaired by the PPP's Sindh chief Syed Qaim Ali Shah on Friday.

Giving details of the resolutions on Saturday, the PPP Sindh chapter maintained that removal of four nazmeen was illegal, and demanded their immediate restoration.

It also condemned the killings of protestors in Kambar, and held the Sindh chief minister responsible for the same, besides demanding that an FIR should be registered against the culprits.

The meeting flayed the government's alleged attempt to fragment Hyderabad district, accusing that it would further sharpen ethnic animosity in the province. It demanded that Hyderabad should also be placed under a city district government. The meeting also demanded release of all political prisoners.
