CJ sworn in as acting governor

KARACHI, Jan 15: The chief justice of the High Court of Sindh, Saiyed Saeed Ashhad, took oath as acting governor of Sindh at a swearing-in ceremony held in the Governor's House on Saturday evening.

He will act as governor in the absence of Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan who has gone on a three-day private visit to London. The oath was administered by Justice Sabihuddin Ahmed, senior-most judge of the Sindh High Court.

The ceremony was attended by provincial ministers, Chief Secretary Mohammed Aslam Sanjrani, secretaries of administrative departments, the IG and other senior officials. - APP
