ISLAMABAD, Jan 14: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, in his capacity as chairperson of Saarc, has announced that the 13th Saarc Summit will be held in Dhaka on February 6-7.

He made the announcement after consulting the host country, Bangladesh, and other members of the grouping. "Meeting of the Council of Ministers preceding the Summit will be held on Feb 5, the Standing Committee on Feb 3-4 and the Programming Committee on Feb 1-2," a Foreign Office statement said.

The Saarc Summit was postponed after the devastation wrought by the tsunami. "Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz looks forward to a very successful and productive Summit at Dhaka," the statement said. -Agencies
