KARACHI, Jan 14: Deputy Postmaster General, Karachi Postal Region-1, Jamil Ahmed said on Friday that 14 new post offices has been set up in Karachi on the directives of Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz and Minister for Communications Shamim Siddiqui.

In a press statement, he said new post offices are being set up in Malir Town and Hawkesbay Scheme-42 while new night post offices in New Saeedabad, Bafar Zone, North Karachi Sector 11-A, Old Golimar, Paposh Nagar, Orangi Town, Nazimabad Block-4, Sarjani Town, Nawabad, Bath Island, Sarfaraz Rafiqui Road and Manora Cantt have also established.

He said these post offices are set up to provide more facilities to masses regarding paying of utility bills. Now the people can pay their utility bills including electricity, gas and telephone in these new established post offices from 9am to 10pm, he added.

Deputy Postmaster General said that 60 night post offices are working in Karachi, where experienced postal worker are busy to provide all possible facilities to the people. -PPI
