RAJANPUR, Jan 13: Seven passengers, including an old woman, were killed while 32 others sustained injuries on Thursday morning in an accident on the Indus Highway near Rojhan.

The coach (PB-0009) coming Karachi to Dera Ghazi Khan collided head-on with the truck (QAD-2614) while saving a motorcyclist who suddenly appeared on the road at Qazi Quarters.

As a result, Soofi Nazir Ahmed (36), Allah Nawaz, Mohammad Omar, Abdul Qayyum, an old woman, bus driver and conductor died instantly while 32 others received injuries.

The injured were rushed to the THQ Hospital, Rojhan, while four of them were shifted to the DHQ Hospital, Rajanpur, in critical condition. Later, 13 of the injured were relieved after the first aid.

Some of the injured were identified as Hashim (infant), Arshad, Faiz Bukhsh, Nawaz, Farooq, Shahid Husain Shah, Liaquat Ali, Sajjad Ahmed, Shamshad, Shahnaz, Allah Nawaz, Ameer Bukhsh, Yar Mohammad, Hassan, Mohammad Hussain, Jahangir, Khalida Bibi and Hajira Mai.
