KARACHI, Jan 7: The Nazim Karachi, Niamatullah Khan, paying tributes to the late Dr Saleemuzzaman Siddiqui, said he was not only a great scientist but a great benefactor of Pakistan and the Pakistani nation.

"His achievements will go down in history in golden words," he said while speaking at a ceremony held to name the road in front of the PCSIR after the late Dr Siddiqui as homage on Thursday evening.

Mr Niamat said that Dr Siddiqui had brightened the name of Pakistan in the world, but regretfully nothing was done to acknowledge his services. He said at the time of the PCSIR's establishment, Dr Siddiqui must have dreamt that the organization would serve the country, and Pakistan would move ahead step by step with other developed nations. - APP
