Kasuri hails president's decision

KASUR, Jan 2: Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri lauded on Sunday the decision of the president to retain his two offices, and said it was the need of the hour in the present national and international scenario.

Mr Kasuri was speaking at a function here. Regarding development schemes in the district, he said a record number of uplift projects, including the provision of Sui gas, had been executed by the present government.

Lauding the construction of a luxury bus stand by Afzal Travels, Mr Kasuri said it would provide better travelling facilities to the people of the district. Later, he laid the foundation-stone of the Kasur Public School, which will cost Rs6 million.

He said Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi would inaugurate Kasur-Lahore road soon. District Nazim Rana Imtiaz Ahmed Khan, tehsil nazim and other local elected representatives were present on the occasion. -APP
