TOBA TEK SINGH, Dec 29: Fesco employees observed complete strike in Gojra, Pirmahal and Kamalia to register their protest against the proposed privatization of Wapda.

In Gojra, a protest camp was also set up outside Fesco offices on Gojra Road. Addressing the Fesco staff, All Pakistan Trade Union Federation leader Chaudhry Ghulam Mustafa Paras criticized the privatization policy of the present rulers claiming that a large number of workers would be rendered jobless. Other union members also spoke on the occasion.

TWO KILLED: Two people were killed and three injured seriously in two road accidents near here on Wednesday. A speeding car (FDG-2), going to Faisalabad from Toba, collided with a stationary tractor-trolley near Chak 323-JB, Trandi.

As a result, Rafiq Masih of Chak 219-RB (Faisalabad) died instantly while his younger brother Shafiq and driver Sarwar suffered serious injuries. They were admitted to the local DHQ Hospital in critical condition.

A speeding tractor-trolley hit a bicycle near Chak 320-JB. Consequently, Rizwan died on the spot while his father Rashid sustained serious injuries. He was shifted to the local DHQ Hospital in critical condition.
