KARACHI, Dec 27: The Sindh Minister for Planning and Development, Syed Shoaib Ahmed Bukhari, on Monday said the Sindh government had outlined a project to start postgraduate classes in six women colleges of Karachi.

He was speaking at the foundation stone laying ceremony of postgraduate classes' project in the Government College for Women, Frere Road. The project includes opening such classes in a similar number of colleges in interior Sindh as well.

The project includes construction of one more floor and renovation of the present building of the respective college, where the classes would be started, at a cost of Rs10.5 million. This would be completed in a year.

The minister said the government had launched the project in several colleges of the province in view of difficulties faced by students in reaching Karachi University from various city parts. "The provincial government is introducing reforms that will increase enrolment of students in schools and colleges," the minister said. - PPI
