PM reviews ministers' performance

ISLAMABAD Dec 22: Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz has started reviewing progress made on the goals and objectives set by federal and state ministers and secretaries for themselves some three months ago.

Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Yar Muhammad Rind, Minister for Social Welfare Zobaida Jalal, Minister of State for Interior Dr Wasim Shahzad, Minister of State for Industries and Production Ali Nawaz Mahar and Minister of State for Communications Muhammad Shahid Jamil on Wednesday called on the prime minister to brief him about the achievements made against the goals set by them in last quarter.

After reviewing the progress, the prime minister asked ministers and ministers of state to intensify their efforts to make real progress with regard to realizing the targets assigned to their ministries.

Mr Aziz underlined the need of moving systematically and methodically towards the goals and targets. He said that the federal minister, minister of state and the secretary must form a coherent team with a definite set of goals and a clear-cut strategy to reach them.
