KOHAT: Awareness about Aids

KOHAT, May 27: A seminar on Monday called upon the Ulema to spread awareness among the masses about Aids.

Those who spoke included Dr Ahmed Ali, Dr Zaheen, Dr Zaheeruddin Babar, Jehanzeb Jani, president of the Youth Welfare Organziation, and Mufti Mohammad Naeem. The function was sponsored by Unicef.

Through a projector, Dr Zaheeruddin Babar gave facts and figures about the Aids victims in the NWFP.

Dr Ahmed Ali said that Ulema’s role was important in this part of the country as people listened to them seriously and adhered to their teachings.—Correspondent
