SHIKARPUR, Nov 30: Activists of the Jeay Sindh Mahaz (Zain) continued their token hunger strike on the second day at the Lakhi Gate Tower Chowk here on Tuesday to protest against the failure of the Shikarpur district police to find three kidnapped youths belonging to the Hindu community.

The youths were kidnapped some five days ago near the Shankar Bhartia temple. JSM vice chairman Agha Qamar Mashwani, divisional president Abdul Haleem Mahar, Abid Hyderi, Rafique Soomro, Habib Mashwani and others observed the hunger strike. They urged the DPO to recover the youths within two days and threatened to take out a rally and hold demonstration on Dec 3 in Shikarpur.

NPP: Dr Mohammad Ibrahim Jatoi, MNA from Shikarpur, has said that the National People's Party has been merged in the Pakistan Muslim League to encourage two-party system in the country, and to make joint efforts for the well-being of the masses.

Talking to journalists at an Eid Millan party, arranged by him and MPA Abid Hussain Jatoi, in honour of politicians, elected representatives and notables here on Tuesday, Dr Jatoi clarified that party leaders did not join the PML for power. To a question, he said that party workers felt a sense of deprivation when their leaders were neglected in the federal cabinet.
