PESHAWAR, Nov 26: Activists of Pasban observed a one-day hunger strike in the Jinnah Park here on Friday against the sky-rocketing prices and increasing joblessness.

The hunger strike camp was dotted with black banners and placards inscribed with slogans against price hike and unemployment.

Prominent among those who participated in the camp were Provincial President of Pasban Mohammad Zulfiqar Asad and District President Malik Firdos Khan Daudzai. The camp was also visited by union council nazims Hafeezullah and Malik Tehmash, who expressed their support for the participants of the hunger strike.

Speaking to the participants of the camp, union council nazims said that price hike and unemployment were key problems faced by all residents of the province, while both federal and provincial governments were showing criminal negligence in this regard.
