KHAIRPUR, Nov 24: Talib Hussain Pato, in charge headmaster of the Government Pato Primary School, Gondai, has registered a case against 11 villagers on Wednesday at the Faiz Ganj police station for occupying the school's building.

Ghulam Mohammad, Ghulam Qadir, Abdul Haleem, Niaz Ali, Ghulam Dastagir, Allahyar, Nawabuddin, Iqrar and Subhan Ali, all Pato by caste, have been nominated in the FIR. The complainant has stated in the FIR that the accused persons tried to occupy the school building and beat watchmen of the school.

FIR: One Mir Mohammad Kurio on Wednesday registered an FIR at the Sadiq Kalhoro police station against seven persons for forcibly occupying his land and destroying the standing cotton crop. The accused persons were identified as Umeed Ali, Shafqat, Aachar, Shabbir, Anwar, Meero and Dadan.

PROTEST: The staff of the Rural Health Centre, Faiz Ganj, observed a token hunger strike for three hours and boycotted their duties on Wednesday. The staff members were protesting against the arrest of Naib Qasid of the hospital Mohammad Sharif Shar, who was arrested by the Faiz Ganj police on the charge of assaulting and beating a lady health worker. Lady health worker Ms Ghulam Zohra told police that the Naib Qasid attacked her when she was on duty.

BOY DIES: A schoolboy Irfan Ali, 10, died in the Thari Mirwah hospital due to non-provision of anti-snake vaccine. It is learnt that a snake bite Irfan Ali when he was standing in the field in the Mohib Ali Mandan village. He was rushed to the hospital but the ASV was not available in the hospital he died there.

ROBBERY BID FOILED: Villagers with the help of police foiled a robbery attempt and caught a robber in the agriculture farm Setharja on Tuesday night.

Three armed men held hostages Mohammad Nasir Arain, Mohammad Ramzan Arain and Mohammad Islamuddin Arain and tried to deprive them of cash and gold locket. Meanwhile, villagers and police reached there. However, the armed men injured Mohammad Nasir. Police and villagers arrested one of the accused identified as Sachal while two others managed to escape.
