HYDERABAD, Nov 24: A spokesman of the Hyderabad Electric Supply Company has notified that power supply from the Guddu powerhouse has been suspended as a boiler of one unit had developed leakage on Tuesday.

In a press statement issued here on Wednesday, he said due to this fault, grid stations of Kashmore, Kandhkot, Thul, Jacobabad, Karampur, Shikarpur, Ratodero, Miro Khan, Shahdadkot and other feeders would be affected.

He said half an hour load-shedding was being carried out on each feeder. He said one month shutdown would be observed which would affect Daharki, Ghotki, Pano Akil, Obauro, Mirpur Mathelo, Khanpur Mahar and Mubarakpur due to the repair work on liberty powerhouse in Daharki.

EDO HEALTH: EDO health Dr Nazar Mohammad Junejo accompanied by food inspector and other staff conducted a raid on a factory in Latifabad-12 on Tuesday and recovered 5,000 packets of Raja Testy Gutka.

The health department said Gutka was being supplied in all parts of the district. The team recovered 3,000 packets of Mainpuri. Many other places including Paretabad, Firdous colony, Liaquat colony and other places were also raided and a huge quantity of Mainpuri and Gutka were recovered.
