SRINAGAR, Nov 23: Suspected freedom fighters shot dead four people, including an Indian soldier and a policeman, in separate incidents in occupied Kashmir, police said on Tuesday.

The policeman was killed and two others injured in an overnight attack by Mujahideen in Dangiwachi village of northern Baramulla district, a police spokesman said.

Police said heavily armed Mujahideen opened fire at a police post set up to protect a few Sikh families in the village. "A police constable died on the spot while two others were seriously wounded," the spokesman said, adding that no harm was caused to the members of the local community.

Separately, police said suspected Kashmiris shot dead two civilians in the northern town of Sopore, while a Kashmiri member of the Indian army was shot dead in his house in southern Anantnag district. -AFP
