Mr Zardari's release was the outcome of an arrangement between the PPP and the government aimed at gaining support for the uniform of President General Pervez Musharraf, they alleged. Alleging that Mr Zardari was involved in the murder of Murtaza Bhutto and had squandered public money, they termed his release enmity with the nation.
