WINDHOEK, Nov 22: Captain Michael Vaughan made his highest score in a one-day match for England to lead his team to victory by 67 runs over Namibia in Sunday's warm-up match for the tour of Zimbabwe and South Africa.
Vaughan struck 89 to guide England to 260 for six in the 42 overs their innings was reduced to by overnight rain. Namibia replied with 193 for four in their 42 overs. Vaughan faced 92 balls and hit six fours and three sixes before holing out to Kola Burger at long-on off off-spinner Danie Keulder.
Strauss was caught behind by wicket-keeper Hugo Ludik off medium pacer Louis Burger for 73 after he had faced 65 balls and hit seven fours and a six. JB Burger and Keulder shared 61 runs for Namibia's first wicket.
Keulder scored 57. Morne Karg and Deon Kotze put on 57 for the fourth wicket before Karg, who made 66 off as many balls with five fours and three sixes, was trapped in front by Giles, who finished with three for 47 from his nine overs.
