GUJRANWALA, Nov 19: Continuing the hearing of the Sialkot jail incident, the Anti-Terrorism Court No 1 on Friday re-issued non-bailable warrants for the arrest of two constables of the Elite Force, who escaped from court after cancellation of their bails during the previous hearing.

However, five other constables of the force, Qaiser Mahmood, Abdul Razzaq, Shahzad Ahmad, Inamullah and Amjad Ali, had got their interim bail from the LHC on Thursday and they appeared before the local court.

Complainant Advocate Ghulam Abbas Bokhari, the father of slain judge Shehryar Bokhari, requested the court that former Narowal DPO Muhammad Azam and Dr Zafar of the Allama Iqbal Memorial Hospital, Sialkot, be summoned as witnesses. The judge, Mujahid Mustaqeem, accepted his plea and issued notice to the prosecution. The court adjourned the case till Nov 26.

Former Gujranwala DIG Malik Muhammad Iqbal, Sialkot DPO Amjad Javed Saleemi, Gujrat DPO Raja Munawar Hassan, Allama Iqbal Memorial Hospital's Dr Firdaus, Dr Sajjad Ahmad, Sialkot jail former superintendent Sikander Hayat and other accused were present in court.

FOUND DEAD: A cartman, who was kidnapped allegedly by his rivals a week ago, was found murdered near Gakkhar Town on Friday. Reports said Sajid Masih was kidnapped by his rivals, who also took his cart and horse two days before Eid.

After a week-long search, the family found his body in fields near the Gakkhar railway station. Police removed the body to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for autopsy and registered a case against the suspects.
