HYDERABAD, Nov 19: Hesco announced here on Friday that its officials will hold open katchehries in different parts of the city to solve problems of consumers and to address their complaints.

An open katchehry was recently held in Qasimabad where deputy circle manager Mirza Qayyum Baig, executive engineer (Gari Khata) Akbar Durrani, SDO (Qasimabad sub-division) Abdul Sattar Memon and others received written complaints from the consumers and issued orders on the spot in many cases.

Another open kutchehry is scheduled to be held at the sports complex ground, Latifabad-6, on Saturday. The consumers of Latifabad sub-division have been asked to attend the open kutchehry and present their problems. A Hesco spokesman said that the company officials will hold open katchehries throughout Sindh.

JI: The Hyderabad chapter of the Jamaat Islami has criticized the ministry of religious affairs for providing no facilities to the faithful who had gone to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.

In a statement issued here on Friday, Hyderabad JI chief Shaikh Shaukat Ali said that due to indifferent attitude of the ministry and inefficiency of the PIA staff, 30,000 Pakistanis had remained stranded at the Jeddah airport.
