TEL AVIV, Nov 19: Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has relaxed conditions for restarting peace talks with the Palestinians, the newspaper Haaretz reported on Friday. The premier is no longer insisting that the Palestinian leadership immediately dismantle radical Palestinian organizations, the report said.

Instead, he will settle for an end to incitement against Israel and a change in the Palestinian Authority's education system, Mr Sharon told a meeting of his Likud Party. "I don't intend to waste time and my plan is to find any way, when the new Palestinian leadership is ready to open talks, to begin to advance our relations with the Palestinians."

The premier said he had no intention of deviating from his plan to separate the Palestinians from Israel by a barrier. -dpa
