ISLAMABAD, Nov 5: Capital Development Authority (CDA) has sold seven acres of land to the owner a hotel for extension, a source told Dawn. The decision regarding selling of land to the hotel was made in a meeting of the CDA board held on Friday.

The land was given to the hotel owner after a series of meetings as he wanted to get a piece of 2.5 acres of land while the CDA was contending that the entire land of seven acres should be purchased.

The source said the land beside the hotel was allocated for another five-star hotel but geographic situation of the plot was not suitable for another hotel there. "As there was no suitable passage to reach the land from the road, therefore, it was decided that the entire land should be given to the existing hotel," the source said. To a question, the source said the land was sold at the present market rate.
