Brilliant knocks by Kamran, Taufiq

LAHORE, Oct 22: Fine batting by Kamran Akmal and Taufiq Umar helped Lahore Whites reach a respectable first innings score of 251 for eight against Faisalabad on the first day of Quaid Trophy match at Qadhafi Stadium on Friday.

Kamran was unbeaten at 83 while opener Taufiq hit 59. Kamran smashed 15 boundaries and faced 131 balls during his stay of 152 minutes. Taufiq also played a responsible knock hitting seven fours. He negotiated 114 balls.

One-down Khaqan Arsal also made a useful contribution of 41 runs with five fours. He faced 71 balls.
