FAISALABAD, Oct 22: Sri Lankan Sanath Jayasuriya, who cracked a masterly unbeaten 131 on Friday in the first Test against Pakistan said that a century away from home was always unique.

"It is unique as it is always hard to get a lot of runs at the international level," he told journalists at the Iqbal Stadium. Jayasuriya, whose century was his 13th in 93 Tests, said that his team now had the advantage.

"I think today with my hundred and with Kumar (Sangakkara) and Mahela (Jayawardene) who played good innings we are at the top at the moment." Sangakkara and Jayawardene, scored half centuries, and along with Jayasuriya helped their team to score 285 for 3 as Sri Lanka led by 264 runs at the close of third day's play.

"The team needed somebody to get a big 100 today because Thilan (Samaraweera) played a good knock in the first innings and I think if you want to win this game you need a big lead on board for the bowlers to bowl, said the 35-year-old former captain." He pointed out that it was a challenge for him to perform all the time. I think I have done my part and will continue on Saturday.
