MULTAN, Oct 22: Four passengers, including a woman and her minor daughter, were killed while nine others suffered serious injuries on Friday in an accident on Multan-Vehari Road in Jehanian, some 35kms from here.

A coaster (549-GLT) coming towards Multan while a truck heading towards Vehari collided with each other due to over-speeding near Zorkot. Consequently, coaster driver Fayyaz died instantly while a girl (9) and two others died at different hospitals, Jehanian ASI Munir told APP.

Nishtar Hospital Dr Khalid said that Irshad Bibi, mother of the deceased girl, was received dead while another injured Tanweer Afzal died at the neuro ward.

The body of the driver had to be taken out after cutting the coaster's body. While the injured - Munir, Suhail, Majid, Abdur Rehman, Abdur Rasheed, Saima and Tahira were admitted to Nishtar Hospital while another injured was admitted to Jehanian hospital. The police are going into the matter. - APP
