LAHORE: 3 murdered in Lahore

LAHORE, Oct 22: Three people were murdered in separate incidents in the city on Friday. Waqas (20) of Sector B/1 Township was shot at by his cousin, Majid, said the police and added the injured was taken to a nearby hospital where he died. The police said the two cousins had a squabble over a trivial issue.

The body was sent to the city mortuary for autopsy. A case was registered with no arrest. A shopkeeper was stoned to death by a customer over a petty issue after they exchanged harsh words in Sector A/1 of Township.

The police said Mehr Din had an argument with customer Akbar. The customer dragged him out of his shop and attacked him with a brick, the police said and added Akbar was said to be mentally abnormal.

Residents gathered on the scene and gave a thrashing to the customer, who also got wounds. They both were admitted to the Jinnah Hospital where the shopkeeper died while the other man was stated to be in serious condition.

Hajan Billu (50) was found dead outside her rented house in Abbas Block of Hanjarwal. She had been shot dead, said the police and added her husband had also been killed five years ago over a property dispute.
