QUETTA, Oct 15: At least five persons, including a woman and a six-year-old girl, were killed and five others injured after a Karachi-bound passenger coach collided with a tractor parked on the RCD Highway near Uthal on Friday night.

"Five passengers, including a young girl, were killed on the spot," a police officer told this correspondent over telephone from Uthal. The accident occurred near the Khandra Bridge on the RCD Highway, some five kilometres from Uthal. The 32-seat passenger coach was en route to Karachi from Quetta.

Police officials said that the condition of two of the injured was critical and they would be shifted to Karachi for treatment. Two of the victims were identified as Jalib Saeed and Kamaluddin.
