HYDERABAD, May 25: A large number of activists of Pakistan Tahreek-i-Insaf took out a rally from Qasimabad to express solidarity with the armed forces and condemn the Indian aggressive designs.
The rally, after marching through the main roads of Hyderabad and Qasimabad terminated at the local press club.
Addressing the rally, Iqbal Niazi, Fareed Khan Abro, Nadeem Bablani, Dr Samad Shaikh and others said that India should not harbour any illusion about the preparedness of the country’s armed forces and the people at large.
They said that the entire Pakistani nation stood like a rock behind their valiant armed forces and will fight side-by-side with them to repulse any Indian attack.
The demonstrators also torched the Indian flag.
Meanwhile, the activists of Khushhal Pakistan Pervez Musharraf Himayat Tahreek also staged a demonstration outside the press club to condemn Indian aggression.
Addressing the rally, the chief organiser of the Tahreek, Muhammad Ali Qureshi, said that every child of Pakistan was prepared to lay down his life to defend the motherland. The protesters torched the effigy of the Indian prime minister.
HESCO: The chief executive, Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (Hesco), Brigadier Tariq Arshad issued directives to the executive engineer, Phuleli, to hold an open katchehry in his office on May 27 to resolve the problems of the consumers of the Memon Hospital sub-division.
The consumers have been advised to attend the open katchehry for on-the-spot resolution of their problems.
Meanwhile, a spokesman of Hesco announced that in order to improve power transmission in Jati, the SDO (Construction) has already started the development work.
He said that a development scheme at a cost of Rs25 million was going on to improve the power supply situation in Sujawal and its adjoining areas.
He claimed that after its completion, all complaints regarding the power supply would come to an end.
