KARACHI, May 25: City Nazim Naimatullah Khan said on Saturday he wanted to remove backwardness of Lyari and bring it at par with other areas of the city.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony of Abdul Wadood Ashraf Maternity Home in Bihar Colony, the Nazim said he would one day be successful in his mission to develop the area.

Naimatullah Khan hoped that the federal and provincial governments would announce special packages for the city before June.

He asked the doctors at the maternity home to serve the people with dedication and love.

Naimatullah Khan appreciated a lady councillor, Saeeda, for her efforts in completing the work at the maternity home.—APP
