ISLAMABAD, Oct 4: The overall water inflow at various rim stations on Monday was 86,218 cusecs and outflow 85,636 cusecs. According to official sources, the water level at Tarbela was 1469.88 feet, 100 feet higher than the dead level of 1,369 feet.

However, they said that the present water level at the dam is still 81 feet lower than its total capacity of 1,550 feet. The inflow at the dam remained 50,500 cusecs and release was 52,000 cusecs.

Giving details about the Mangla dam, the sources said that the water level at the dam was 1156.70 feet, 116 feet above the dead level of 1,040 feet. The inflow at the dam remained 10,082 cusecs while the outflow was 8,000 cusecs.

The total capacity of the dam is 1,202 feet. The contribution of River Kabul and River Chenab was recorded at 10,000 cusecs and 15,636 cusecs respectively. -APP
