KARACHI, Oct 1: Creative art work of a special child artist from Pakistan, Mariam Khan, has been selected by the International Child Art Foundation for exhibition at the Utopia Station project in Munich, Germany.

She will be leaving for Munich on Saturday to participate in the week-long project beginning on Oct 7. Some of Mariam's art work has also been selected by Enzo Mari, the world famous fashion designer from Italy to exhibit them at the centre of Munich. Her work has been selected from 1,000 paintings from all over the world.

Mariam, 13, who was diagnosed to have Down's Syndrome at birth, is the first special child from Pakistan who has made it to ICAF with her art work. Children from 120 countries are participating in the international event.

Down's Syndrome makes reflexes of the child slow both mentally and physically, but early intervention and training can make such children to be in streamline with other children.
