Media face problems

QUETTA, Sept 30: Poor arrangements for the mediamen caused trouble in getting the results of the various disciplines of the 29th National Games which opened at Ayub Stadium Thursday.

Despite the claims of the organizers to set-up a media centre for local and visiting journalists at Ayub Stadium, no facilities, neither computers nor internet or other services were available.

Local and visiting journalists were running pillar to post get the information but except for few games, they failed to collect any result or information.

Local organizers are concentrating more on opening and closing ceremonies instead making arrangements for collection of results from various venues and feeding it in a proper format to journalists. Out of 25 games, Quetta is staging 21 disciplines at different part of the city. Ayub Sports Complex is conducting 11 event. -APP
