KARACHI: HSC results announced

KARACHI, Sept 30: The Board of Intermediate Education on Thursday notified the results of HSC Part I (Class XI) annual examination-2004 of Science (Pre-Engineering Group).

According to statistics, 22,533 candidates appeared in the examination and of these 9,592 were declared successful in all the six papers. As many as 3,575 candidates cleared five papers, while 3,187 were declared pass in four papers.

The number of candidates who cleared three papers was 3,122, while 2,115 were declared successful in two papers, whereas 822 could clear one paper only. A BIEK announcement said the marks certificates would be issued after two weeks.

The BIEK also announced the result of HSC Part I, annual examination, 2004, of Science (General Group) on Thursday. According to figures, 1,982 candidates appeared in the examination, and of these, 639 cleared all the six papers.

The number of candidates declared pass in five papers was 423, while 442 cleared four papers. As many as 251 candidates cleared three papers and 138 passed two papers, while 53 candidates could clear one paper only. A BIEK statement said marks sheets would be issued after two weeks. -APP
