Maoists kill 4 in Jharkhand

RANCHI, Sept 26: Maoist guerillas killed four people in the eastern Indian state of Jharkhand early on Sunday, officials said.

The incident occurred in Dumaria district about 200 kilometres from state capital Ranchi, the official sources said.

They said about 50 insurgents raided the house of a school teacher Kapil Deo Yadav and gunned him down along with his son Neeraj Kumar Yadav.

The rebels then killed two other villagers. Further investigations were being carried out, the sources said. -AFP
