WASHINGTON, Sept 24: Three more members of an elite US Navy unit have been charged with the abuse of Iraqi prisoners, bringing to seven the total facing charges in connection with the deaths of two detainees, the Pentagon said on Friday.
The prisoners died in November and April. It was not clear whether the same Navy Seals have been charged in both cases.
The latest charges include aggravated assault with intent to cause death or serious bodily harm and assault with a dangerous weapon. -dpa
