KARACHI: Development projects reviewed

KARACHI, Sept 22: A meeting chaired by City Nazim Naimatullah Khan reviewed the pace of work on development projects being carried out under the Tameer-i-Karachi Programme in Liaquatabad, SITE , Keamari, North Nazimabad, Gulberg and New Karachi towns.

The meeting was told that construction work was in progress on Rashid Minhas Road from Gulshan Chowrangi to Sohrab Goth; Manghopir Road from Server Petrol Pump to Surjani Town; the road connecting Mominabad Police Station to Frontier More, SITE; Hawkesbay Road from Grax Village to town nazim's office; and Mauripur Road from Gulbai Railway Crossing to PAF Masroor Base.

Naimatullah Khan directed the officials concerned to build quality roads and remove hurdles in the way. He said that work on sewerage and provision of water should be carried out first in order to avoid digging of road again and again while coordinating with civic departments.

He also reviewed the development schemes, initiated for improvement of water supply and sewerage system in Keamari, Liaquatabad, North Karachi and others towns. -PPI
