LAHORE, Sept 19: The JUP (Noorani) launched its mass-contact drive from Khanewal by holding a convention there on Sunday.

During the drive, the party will hold conventions and conferences in Dera Ghazi Khan, Shujaabad, Kot Addu, Chak Jhumra, Faisalabad, Lahore and Rawalpindi up to Sept 26.

Party president Shah Faridul Haq, Anas Noorani, Pir Abdul Khaliq Bharchundi Sharif, MNA Dr Zubair and others will speak to these gatherings.

According to JUP's Punjab General Secretary Qari Zawwar Bahadur, in Lahore the convention will be held on Sept 23. The central executive committee will also meet here the same day to discuss Gen Musharraf's uniform, Wana operation and other issues and decide future line of action.
