KARACHI, Sept 14: The demolition squad of the Karachi Building Control Authority on Tuesday razed many illegal structures in the city.

According to a KBCA press release, the squad razed illegally constructed RCC columns at plot no 52, block-3, in the Bihar Muslim Cooperative Society in Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town, while it also demolished walls and columns at plot no 84 in the same town, which were constructed illegally.

The squad also razed columns on third floor at plot no 74, block-3, Gulshan-i-Iqbal Town, the press release added. Meanwhile, the KBCA squad razed shutters, walls and columns at third floor of plot no 2, block F-III, Nazimabad, in Liaquatabad Town.

Moreover, the KBCA has immediately cancelled the builder license, BL-268, and developer license, DL-268, of M/s Shamsi Builders, owing to not renewing the licenses, and directed the builder to hold off its activities under the Sindh Building Control Ordi-nance-1979, otherwise the KBCA would take strict action. -PPI
