Liaquat visits Kandahar

LAHORE, Oct 27: Jamaat-i-Islami leader Liaquat Baloch visited a city of the Kandahar province in Afghanistan and conveyed a message of Qazi Husain Ahmad to the Taliban leader Mullah Omar.

According to a Jamaat press release, the Afghan leaders said people of Pakistan had done a great favour by extending help to the Afghan people at this hour of trial.

They said peoples of the two countries had strong Islamic bonds which no imperialist country could rupture.
